A camel could stand for many concepts in the Arab culture depending on the context . While travelling for miles in the dry hot desert and drinking very little quantity of water, it symbolizes patience and tolerance, also suffering but induring . It is named the "Ship of the Desert ". Somtimes a man could be described as a camel in his feelings if he appears silent and calm from outside but from inside he is of that type of people who would not forgive or forget an insult or a mistake easily and he would wait for the right chance to burst and take revenge , keeping grudge & malice deep in the heart . There are many stories being told by Bedouins about camel shepherds who did not treat well their camels and ended up shredded between their sharp teeth or unmerciful hoofs. A camel also could refer to a Bedouin's fortune living among a tribe . His fortune depends on the number of camels he has. A mean of transportation.
