Courting may occur by one or both rabbits. If a doe is in heat and ready to breed she will allow the buck to mount her. Mating then occurs. When the buck has finished, he will fall/roll off and often makes a short squealing or grunting noise.

No, the doe protects the kits more than the male rabbit does. The male will think that the kit is another rabbit trying to invade its territory! Then the male will trample on them without noticing.

What does a female rabbit do to show they do not accept a male rabbit as their mate?

They will always accept them but not nescessarily want to mate at that point in time. They usually run away from the male and make a very loud grunt like a wild hog. If your female rabbit is running away from the male but you want them to mate do not hold her down as this will cause her to bite you as it JUST happend to me about an hour ago...
