What does a wild fox eat?

Captive foxes should be fed a high grade, high protein dog food as a main staple. However, they also need high amounts of taurine when they are kits, so ferret food as a supplement should be supplied. If the kit is very young (4 weeks old or so) a puppy milk replacement should be bottle fed. This is available at Wal-Mart. As the fox grows, be sure to feed it fish, live mice (the brain has many nutrients needed to keep the fox healthy), and keep water always available. Raw chicken is also a favorite for foxes as well as whole eggs.

Nothing. Feeding wild animals is not helping them, but hurting them. I know you mean to be kind, but instead of helping them you are teaching them to eat "people" food and not hunt or forage for what they need. One of the problems with bears in Yellowstone and Yosemite is that they have learned to eat people food from the garbage cans and break into the cars for what they need. This is against the natural instincts of the animal. If the fox is hurt or in trouble you need to call a wild life preserve or agency in your area ( a zoo can also help) to get help for the animal.
