Polar bears don't really eat anything during the summer time. They may eat some small birds, lemmings, eggs or young caribou, but otherwise bide their time waiting for the ice to come in.

Seals are the primary food for polar bears. The Arctic has ice year round to varying degrees, and the great bears stalk this ice pack in search of seal species. Females den up in winter, and give birth during this time.
