They can get a long list of heath problems, even if you have a big enough cage (7.5 sq feet minimum per guinea pig) Including impact, being overweight, and they can also have metal issues if they don't have enough time to stretch, and be able to see new places, instead of the same old inside of the cage. Please try and find some way to exercise your pig. If you need any more help, feel free to ask.
You can't take Guinea Pig's for a walk with leads or anything like that as they are very bad for a Guinea Pig's spine. You are best to either let them go in a run outside or let them out in your house. You are best letting it run in your house, but keep it away from wires and spaces it can hide in. You shouldn't use a guinea pig harness or lead as they can damage their sensitive spines.
You shouldn't use balls to exercise guinea pigs. They have quite long bodies so running in one puts undo stress on their backs. Instead, use a fenced-in pen and let your guinea pig have fun running around inside it.
Just let me run around in their cage or put them in a bucket of water that is not deep and let them start swimming, but no more than about 10 seconds. Then take them out for a break and then start again.
NO, they are not made like rat or hamsters. Their backs do not easily bend that way. It can be done but it is not health for them to have unnatural stress on their backs. As for other forms of exercise for your cavy you can put them in a safe area (no electrical wires and no spaces to get stuck in) and let them run around for up to an hour.
Go to your local petstore, buy a playpen, set it up, and let them run around inside it; they won't be able to get away because they'd be fenced in.
Guinea pig most likely does the exercising when running around. i would suggest you get a wheel from you local pet store for the guinea pig to run in or you can just do what i do and close your room door and let your G.P. run wild, although only attempt this if you have the energy to clean as G.P. make alot of poop.
You'll most likely lose weight - but remember, too much exercise is never good for the body. Your body needs to rest at some point, so let it catch up with you.
then your pinkie is now raw and died but let the air get to it and after for 10 minutes rince with cold cold water
yes. they love to run but be carefull they cant run away. be careful there are foxes and hawks. dont let them eat chemicalled grass and NEVER leave them unatended.
let her
The best way to help a pregnant guinea pig is to let her be herself and let her have lots of time with the daddy/boyfriend, and keep her out of trouble.
Well you can let them in a guinea pig ball and let them rome around your house for a while if they fall asleep in the ball there tired and you could put them back. You can also give them a wheel i never tried it but you can. But to stay on the safe side you should put it in a ball.
