It depends on where and what type toad (the further South, the venom increases). Symptoms may present similarly to rabies -- disorientation, foaming at the mouth, etc.

If you've a shadow of a doubt, SEE YOUR VET ASAP. Toads can be fairly toxic but dogs recover from most N. American varieties. With certainty, it requires lab equipment even trainers/breeders usually don't routinely have available at the kennel.
