Take your dogs temperature rectally with a thermometer, buy one at Walmart the digital ones are less than 5.00 and they sell the sleeves that go over them, use vaseline or KY jelly on thermometer insert about 1/2 inch slowly, only takes less than 1 min, then call vet, I'd call vet anyway if your pet seems ill
