They even attack large baleen whales and even the biggest whale, blue whales! Orcas that are average sized eats up to 551 pounds a day. That's probably more than you weigh! Orcas hunt in big groups. Orcas have very sharp teeth but they do not chew, they use their sharp teeth to tear apart their prey to share it with the other orcas. Orcas swallow their food whole. They hunt together by surrounding the prey and trying to grab the prey before the prey tries to run away. The orca is a carnivore and loves meat. Orcas that may possibly get sick and weak may get caught and eaten by other predators like a polar bear or possibly sharks.
