Winchester 94 in 30-30 caliber.
if you hit the dear in the heart or lungs and are less than about 250 yards away from it You bet. A .243 is a great whitetail round for close range shots. If you are hunting in thick forest it's hard to beat a .243. Great caliber for youth hunters.
that is a great deer hunting caliber and rifle. The best thing to do is try a few different brands and bullet grains. Every gun is different. My friend has the same rifle and uses 145 grain Winchester ammunition with the nosler tips.
A great weapon but would require a good shot due to the small caliber

Any of the 4 calibers you listed are more than adequate for deer. The larger calibers will extend the range, but (in my opinion) the range is actually limited by the ability of the hunter. I mainly hunt Eastern Whitetail, and the .243 has less recoil than the others (all other things being equal), but if I were hunting in the Western states, I might prefer a .270 for range and power.
caliber limitations are set by the hunting ministry in your region, eg 243 for deer(smallest) 22lr for smll game eg rabbits and so on
most enthusiasts will agree that the M4 is an excellent weapon. Hunters will not agree that the .223 caliber is good for deer hunting. the popular calibers for deer will be 30-06, .243 winchester, 30-30, and .308 winchester.
No. Might be alright for putting down a wounded and dying deer at point blank range, but not for hunting them with.
The legality of hunting deer with an AR-15 varies by state and local regulations. Depends on the range you are hunting. A .270 or .243 will provide for a lethal shot at up to about 200 yards when scoped. <><><><><><> The most popular "deer" rifle in the US, in terms of numbers sold, is the Winchester 94 in caliber 30-30. Second place goes to the Marlin 336- also in 30-30. The calibers listed in the answer above are also very good deer cartridges- along with many others.
