Do you mean to write "platypus"? If you did, they are fascinating animals-- they are one of the few mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth. They have duck-bills and webbed feet, but they are not ducks; in fact, they have broad tails. Their name comes from a Greek word that means "flat-footed."
