A Pomachon is a hybrid dog breed that results from crossing a Pomeranian and a Bichon Frise. This breed typically features a fluffy coat, a lively personality, and a friendly demeanor, making them popular companion animals. Pomachons are known for their intelligence and playful nature, often forming strong bonds with their families. They require regular grooming and socialization to thrive.
My pomachon is wonderful dog. He's 12lbs, kind of leggy like the bichons, and his coat is all undercoat (ie soft and fluffy). That being said, pomachons need to be groomed regularly - 4-6 times a year at a cost of $45 and up. My pomachon rarely barks, but does have some separation anxiety. He's very very gentle, and has never snipped or bit anyone, and he's had his tail pulled a few times by children. He's kind of a picky eater, which is more of a pom trait.
Yes, Pomachons do shed, as they are a mixed breed that typically inherits shedding traits from their parent breeds, which are the Pomeranian and the Bichon Frise. While they may not shed as much as some other breeds, regular grooming can help manage this. It's important to brush them frequently to minimize loose hair and keep their coat healthy.
