A Pony is a classification of a small horse with a specific conformation and temperament. There are many different breeds of ponies. So a Pony Competition can be any event involving these horses, ranging from pony races, pony shows, pony pulls anything the competition organizers wish to organize.
It is where you and your horse/pony dress/ look really smart and parade around the arena in front of the judges i think...... im only 8!
The typical 'HP' competition is judged based on how well a pony negotiates set obstacles in the ring, such as walking over a tarp, under or through things, etc. Each pony is timed and scored on a scale of 1-10 per obstacle. At the end the scores are added up and best score wins, if there is a tie then time is used to break it, faster being the winner. Some judges may also score the pony on manners/temperament, but this is not typically done.
You get points on your pony from going to shows and once you get lots of points, you can be ranked Grade D, C, B & A!

You need to register first. Once you've done that you can enter the competition. If you want to get 1st place you'll need to buy tack and buildings though.
