Any animal (or it's habitat) that has been in constant contact with humans, machines, severe pollution, or abuse can be threatened. As for the fox in particular, they are very populated in the Adirondacks, Cananda and really any other place with the right habitat qualities and food supply. As long as humans leave them alone and let them mate continuously, they should be fine for now. However, the pollution continues to destroy and demolish animals' habitats every day.
