My dog has been very protective over my other dog(female) for a week now. Growling when any other dog will come near. He also has been smelling her private area. I have not seen any sign of heat. e has been growling at him until today when they locked. se had a litter in December and I was planning on fixing them both. She had a terrible experience and lost two puppies and had mastitis. I had to bottle feed them. Only one survived and she is great. I do NOT want to go through this again, nor do I want her to. I read there is such a thing as a silent heat. I there? Can she be pregnant? Help!
