What is better a labrodor retriever or a German Shepherd?

If the family has young children and has never owned dogs before and isn't experienced at training or handling dogs, then either a golden retriever or a Labrador retriever would probably be better than a German shepherd. German shepherds are generally not appropriate for families with babies or young children.

However, both golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers need to be very well trained and very well socialized to live successfully with a family, so whatever breed is chosen the family needs to commit together to devote the necessary time (and it is a LOT of time) to train, socialize, and care for the dog. This is a commitment and decision that no family should make lightly.

That is not true. Whether you like golden or Labrador retrievers is completely up to you. It is an opinion, but I will tell you this much; I prefer Labrador retrievers only because they are rated NUMBER 1 best with kids, and are for a matter of fact, easier to train.

That's really an opinionitive question, but for me, its the GOLDEN RETRIEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will always be a matter of personal choice. But for me it will be the Goldie hands down every time. . . Loyal, beautiful obedient and exceptionally clever you will on taking on a Golden Retriever make a lifetime companion. Golden Retrievers DO require regular grooming so be prepared and a word of WARNING those beautiful pictures you always see of golden puppies or adults are not a true reflection they love a dirty puddle, a walk in the rain and most of all a swim . . so invest in a pair of wellies!!!. Golden Retrievers are excellent with children and other animals. Having had 3 all at the one time I cannot tell you the amount of fun and Laughter they have brought me . Please note the golden retriever is a sensitive dog they will pick up on your body language and mood - they are easy to train and so willing to please and the best reponse from them is when you are loving and caring.

both are good and friendly to my conclusion i say German Shepard is best for they are guard and beautiful dogs , we can also keep two of them,thank you.
