A Camel has a distinctive 'pacing gait'
When walking, the movement of a camel is similar to that of other large, 4-legged animals. However, when moving faster, a camel does what is called pacing, moving first both legs on the left and then both legs on the right in unison. This give the camel a very rolling gait that many find unsettling and hard to ride.
