What is difference between labrador and golden retriever?

They are different breeds of dogs. Irish Setters are always a mahogany red. Golden Retrievers are traditionally a golden color, but can also vary to a dark red. Retrievers were built for water. They have webbed feet and a waterproof undercoat. Setters tend to have straighter hair. Goldens often have wavy hair.

First of all golden retrievers are a little bigger(golden 65 to 80lb and lab 65 to 75lb)and longer but labradors are taller and more muscular.Golden retrievers have more fur then labradors.
Golden retrievers have longer hair then labs and are always golden to a light brown colored. Labs have short hair and can be black, yellow chocolate, and silver colored. Labs were bred in Newfoundland. While Goldens were bred in Scotland.

Main difference? A golden retriever is long haired and a labrador is short haired, so other than daily brushing a lab doesn't really ever need to be taken in anywhere for grooming whereas a retriever has to be kept up a little more.
