According to National Geographic the Blue Whale travels in very small pods (groups). Being the largest sea mammal, averaging 200 tons and 100 feet long, it would make sense that Blue Whales normally travel alone or in a pair. These small pods or lone creatures demand a lot of resources, on average an adult Blue Whale eats 4 tons of krill (small shrimp like creatures).
