They don't prey on anything. They eat a variety of plants and berries instead. They also get quite a bit of nutrition from cutting down trees from their bark and soft tissue.

Conversly, beavers are eaten by nearly any carnivorus animals in their environment, including bears, wolves, cougars, and humans.
