What is the best deterrent for your stool eating puppy?

i don't know if it is the best but you could try pineapple. just feed it to your dog and it should put him/her off.

it is just a puppy thing so will not last but it is a rather disgusting habit so it is best to discourage it.

i just told my dog to leave it then when he did so i treated him, however if he did pick it up i would tell him to come and keep telling him to leave it. Once he does so i lightened up my face and give him a treat remembering to vocally praise him too.

if he/she does not leave it and constantly and repeatedly does so, try putting him on a lead when letting him outside and gently pull him away if he doesn't drop the stool.
