The French Bulldog is smaller and more compact.
Not that I have seen. They both have that short-bristley hair that is kind of soft to the touch.

It depends on what you mean by "normal". There are English, Olde English, American, French and Victorian bulldogs/bulldogges. French are the smallest, then English, then Olde English and Victorian, then American.
Old English Toy Bulldog, the white English Terrier, and a little of the French Bulldog
The Miniature Bulldog or "Toy Bulldog", as it's also known, is a cross between an English Bulldog and a Pug thought to be extinct. They were developed and used to create the French Bulldog. Which contrary to popular belief, did not originate in France but in England along side of the Boston Terrier, a cross between the Toy Bulldog, the White English Terrier, along with an infusion of French Bulldog in the 19th Century. The "Miniature Bulldog"/"Toy Bulldog" was developed by Lace Makers and Artisans in the 19th Century. However, many of the "Toy Bulldogs" were pushed out of England in the mid- to late 19th century as they were perceived as a threat to the English Bulldogbreed. In the early 21st century, breeders were advertising "Miniature Bulldogs", but these seem to be newly created Bulldog - Pug crossbreeds.

The closest relative of the English bulldog is by far the French Bulldog. The french bulldog came to be, by breeding dwarf English Bulldogs together until they formed their own unique breed. There are also a number of other dogs that descended from the bulldog including American Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, and Bull Mastiffs.
The french get more and longer holidays
yes there are miniature & toy Australian Cattle dogs aka Queensland Heelers. miniatures are generally 13 to 16 in tall & weigh 15 to 25 pounds. toys are less than 13in tall & weigh less than 16 pounds.
well a French bulldog is a breed all by it's self. They were created by the French by taking English bulldog rejects ( the ones that have erect ears or were to small). So if you fancy a frenchie you need to go out and find a momma and a daddy French bully and your all set.
There are many differences between a French Brittany and an American Brittany. A French Brittany is a smaller dog than the American Brittany. The hunting style of these two dogs is very different as well. You will notice that an American Brittany is much milder in their temperament than the French Brittany.
