A hunter is ridden on grass or turf and a jumper is ridden on sand or dirt.
basicly jumper is timed and is judged by how many rails u knock and how fast u go, and hunter is judged by how smooth and steady your ride is, and its not timed. basicly jumper is timed and is judged by how many rails u knock and how fast u go, and hunter is judged by how smooth and steady your ride is, and its not timed.
summer olympics: hunter, jumper, dressage and eventing(all three)
Depends on how you ride. Dressage: a medium length with a clean cut. Hunter or jumper: Long tail, if mane is plaited braided.
There is western riding (gaming, western pleasure) and English riding (dressage, jumpers, hunter jumper, Polo, and English pleasure).
Hunter Jumper was born in 1989.
They can. I've seen them do hunt seat, saddle seat, hunters, jumpers, western pleasure. It's always nice to see horses that wear many hats.
If you are leasing a Belgian mare and she is only green broke, it would be best to finish her training in dressage if she was started in dressage. If you are primarily a jumper, you would do better with an expert to help finish her in dressage before confusing her with jumping. A Belgian is a heavy horse and jumping can cause quite a bit of strain to the tendons and bones of the legs, especially if she is close to two thousand pounds. Dressage riders tend to place less strain on the horse. If you do switch to dressage, make sure to train with an expert.

There's no such thing as a show saddle, unless you mean a saddle you use exclusively for shows. A dressage saddle has a very deep seat to help the rider sit and a long, straight saddle flap to accommodate the longer leg position. The girth straps are also quite long so that the short dressage girth does not hinder the leg laying flat. Typically the saddles used in hunter/jumper shows are of medium depth with a more forward cut flap.
The right side.
warmbloods, trakeners, westphalians, holsteiners, hanovarians, thoroughbreds, quarterhorses, appendix's, and selle francias are a very popular breed at hunter jumper shows
It's just called jumping. The Jumping shows are called Show Jumping, and then Hunter-Jumper. From what I have heard, Show Jumping is based on speed and focuses more on the horse than the rider. Hunter-Jumper is about the rider.
A Hunter.-------------------------A horse that is used for Show Jumping is called either a Jumper or a Show Jumper.-------------------------------This would be an english ridden horse. "Show Jumper" is the horse. Show Jumping would be the competition it competes in.
