Actually, there is no scientific name for "Colt". A Colt according to Dictionary.com is a male horse of not more than four years of age. Equus ferus caballus is the scientific name for the domesticated horse, and would be the same for Colt, because basically, it is just a baby horse. A White-tail fawn is still called Odocoileus virginianus,
