When using , follow the directions to a T so as not to get your cat sick from the normal cleaning the cat does. We have used it on our Cornish Rex males and it is very effective. Just make sure to follow the directions for use. If you notice it on more than one cat in a multiple cat household, a ringworm fungus could be the culprit, however that normally spreads to the rest of the cat and is not strictly confined to the tail. The best help for ringworm fungus (same as athletes foot in humans) is over the counter Tenactin, which is an athletes foot/jock itch medication.
