I have a three-year-old Pomeranian from a shelter. I give her Iams Adult Small and Toy Formula. The pieces of kibble are small, and she loves the flavour of it. The first ingredient is chicken, not chicken by-product. Also, it has feeding guidelines specifically for smaller dogs. I have fed her other dog foods before, and she seems rather finicky. However, she loves the taste of the Iams, and it has kept her weight stable, so I would reccommend it, unless your Pom is currently overweight.

Answer

I have a pom puppy and he absolutely loves the new Cesars Dry Food. It has the smallest chunks for small mouths, plus the first 3 ingredients are real chicken. Plus, Cesars only makes food for small dogs, so they can really focus on what small dogs need. Cesars is made by vets too. I would recommend this brand to anyone.

* I would do something a little higher quality than Iams or Cesars. There's a food called Artemis and they make small breed-specific foods. Or try EVO small bites. The EVO is grain-free and they won't have to eat much to be a healthy weight. The best part is that the poops are tiny!
