If you have to bathe your rabbit, only use shampoos that are made for, ideally, rabbits; a shampoo made for cats can be okay, too. Look for natural ingredients, high-quality. Oatmeal shampoos are good.
Never use a shampoo made for humans on a rabbit. Even baby shampoo can irritate a rabbit's sensitive skin. Even low-quality shampoos made for dogs (with harsh, artificial ingredients) can irritate a rabbit's sensitive skin.
Do not use leave-in fur conditioners or other spray-on, leave-in cleansers. Only use a traditional shampoo: the type you lather with water and rinse completely away.
Healthy rabbits bathe themselves. If your rabbit needs a bath, something is wrong: bring him or her to a rabbit-savvy vet who can determine the cause and, if necessary, provide treatment.

The gentlest shampoo is Matrix Biolage Fortifying Shampoo. Tresseme Moisture Shampoo and Garnier Fructis Shampoo are the best all around buy. The best salon shampoo brands are by Marc Anthony and Nexxus.

It is not necessary to use shampoo on hamsters as they are capable of grooming themselves. If your hamster truly needs a bath, you can use a very tiny amount of kitten or baby shampoo, but it's best to consult a veterinarian first.
There really is no one kind that is great they are all wonderful pets from my experience with them. The best bunny i have ever had is a floppy, holand lopp, and supposed jack rabbit mix.
