Don't use a ball! They are very bad for guinea pigs, who have sensitive backs. Almost every pig will not use a ball. Instead, let your guinea pig run around in a safe enclosed area. Some people block off part of a room. Make sure there are not any cords or other hazardous materials. Search "floor time for guinea pigs" online. As long as the other guinea pig isn't crawling all over the limping one it should be fine! When a guinea pig is in distress the other guinea pig normally looks after it. The guinea pig that is well will probably take it food. Make sure it can get water. Take it to the vets if it starts to loose weight e.t.c. If you took the other one out it would make things work. NO, they are not made like rat or hamsters. Their backs do not easily bend that way. It can be done but it is not health for them to have unnatural stress on their backs. As for other forms of exercise for your cavy you can put them in a safe area (no electrical wires and no spaces to get stuck in) and let them run around for up to an hour.

It's mostly male guinea pigs that are likely to attack each other because males are more aggressive toward each other. Guinea pigs don't have to be related and they sill don't fight. I have many piggies and none of them fight. Other then that guinea pigs are really cute, friendly,and cuddy animals.
