Yes, Dolphins are native to North Carolina. I am positive because recently I was down there and they were Surfing the waves. They were in a pack of three to five and were close to shore. We did not see them for the rest of the week but they are very common during the summer. The kind that lives down there are bottlenose. These are the most well-known kind of dolphins.
