First off you should never touch a wild kit (baby rabbit) if its mother is still alive. If the mother is dead then you may take the rabbit into your care. Considering that the kit has yet to open its eyes it is less than 10 days old, which is when they open their eyes. You can feed the kit by hand with a baby bottle and some kitten formula. You can also use a foster doe to feed the kit.

So im afraid its not a good sign. you will need to contact a vet for advice.

If you decide to take the animal to the vet remember to transport it with the mother in the same carrier.

Normally, a baby rabbit will open its eyes no later than 14 days after being born. If not, get a warm damp, very soft wash cloth and gently rub its eye to help open it.
