First thing is you need to know what is causing the diarrhea. It could be something as serious as Parvo or Salmon Poisoning or something as simple as a little tummy upset from some food he has eater. The best thing is to take your pet in to see your Veterinarian. That way the temperature will be taken and the dog thoroughly examined. Be sure to bring in a small sample of the dog's feces to check for parasites too. The Vet will know best how to treat the dog. I use Pepto Bismo, a small child's dose if I know for sure it is just a tummy upset but better to be safe and know what the cause is, so take your pet in to see your Vet.

No, Dogs do not suffer from SIDS. There are always deaths written off as accidental suffocation, but I'm not so sure.
Pseudomembranous Colitis is what causes people to suffer from diarrhea while on antibiotics. It includes fever, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. It is inflammation of the colon.

Yeah but they'll get diarrhea
The two would not be related.
No, in fact it could make it worse. The pet stores actually carry a product for that problem or go to the vet.
