Our dog (golden retriever) had puppies and she was the best mother ever. She knew how to tell the puppies no with out beingaggressive let your dog put the puppies in their place but don't let her be aggressive mother dogs have a deep growl that the puppies know which means to stop. let her get after them but tell her to be easy, she will more than likely know her limits with her owner. If she does get mean tell her that it's a no no, but other than that the mother should know how to do it all herself.

Newborn puppies will eat perfectly from birth provided they feed from their mother, who knows what she's doing. If their mother cannot feed them for any reason you need to seek urgent help from a veterinarian or an animal health clinic.
no because you should not because different hamsters breast feed
Well, you can call the vet and ask them how often you should feed them. When I have to "mother" some of my puppies, at the age of two weeks, I feed them every two hours.
yes u can but sometimes the mother wont accept the puppy so u will have to feed it by hand
im sure that after giving birth mother will be hungry and should eat straight away but if she oesnt dont worry she will soon she just needs some time. always offer her food i hope i helped
On their bellies they will have nipples that produce milk (just like a human female) and this is how they feed their puppies until around 5 weeks old when the puppies teeth start growing in and they can eat on their own
Yes they do. A mother hamster usually feeds the puppies for two weeks after they are born.
Its best for the mother to do that when the pup is still little. When they grow up u may feed it
When a dog has puppies, be sure to take both the mother and the puppies to the vet to be checked out. After that if the mother doesn't want to feed, you will have to bottle feed them. Puppy formula should be available at your local Vet's office. Instructions are on the back of the can for how much and how often to feed them.
It takes six weeks for a dog to give birth. Also, sometimes a mother will reject her pups. If this occurs, (rarely), you will need to bottle feed the puppies until they are 6 weeks old. This is the time of ''weening''.
I hope that you are giving the dog enough food. She is having to feed her puppies milk, and that takes extra energy. Mother dogs need extra food in order to feed themselves and their puppies. Try increasing the amount of food, and if that doesn't work, take her to the vet to be sure she is not sick.
