== == I have heard that Gerbils eat Grasshoppers or Crickets but personally I feed mine hamster/gerbil food.
If you seem to spot any in a pet store, etc just ask at the counter or anything labelled Gerbil/Hamster! SAGerbils: Premixed gerbil food bought at pet stores are a good base for gerbils. Gerbils do not really need any extra supplements, but they can eat a lot of different foods. Fresh foods that they can eat include most fruits and vegetables, such as bits of melons, grapes, and cauliflower. Gerbils also eat insects, namely mealworms and crickets, but only feed these two or three times a week tops. With new food, always monitor your gerbils to make sure there are no signs of illness or diarrhea after ingestion. i also feed my gerbils fresh vegetables and sunflower seeds as a treat , they interact well with me when i have a special treat for them , i only give them these when i want to play with them and they know that when i want to hold them they get a reward , they are very smart creatures.
fenic foxes eat girbils in the wild.
Well, it's actually spelled gerbils not girblis. Gerbils eat like seed mixes and small cut up fruits and vegetables which for the seed mixes, you can get at a pet store. I don't know if gerbils can swim or not, but I would suggest that you don't try. you wouldn't want to hurt your pet!
If you mean can you leave mom and pop both in the tank with the babies, then yes. Dad gerbil will be "sent to the couch" for a few days while mom looks after the litter, but he will be welcomed back and start caring for the pups with mom. When your gerbils are at least six weeks old, you can then separate them from mom and dad and into their separate sexes.
well it depends, wild gerbils usually live in warm, humid, climates such as the desert. but if their not they live in a cage. ;)
