What toys do ferrets play with?

Gerbils can chew on any sort of paper or cardboard that is not bleached and does not have ink or printing on it. Some examples would be: toilet paper tubes, paper towel rolls, and tubes from gift wrap, as well as egg cartons. These also make good toys in general, because they like to run through the tubes. They can also chew on wood, but make sure it is aspen wood, because the sap in pine can be toxic. When purchasing gerbil products in a pet store, make sure the package specifically says it's made for gerbils and not just "small rodents".

I have 3 gerbils, 12 weeks old. I've had them for 2 weeks and so far what ive found out is they like to chew things LOTS. so I put cardboard toilet rolls in for them to chew and bits of kitchen paper to shred and make into bedding.

They also enjoy burrowing and digging in sawdust and wood chippings, so make sure you can provide these sorts of facilities, they like plastic tunnels too.

I would always give them pieces of cardboard or paper towel rolls. Cut up plastic bottles are good too because they love to chew. Also, I would get old shoeboxes and cut holes in them and let them run around. If you have old wooden or plastic blocks to make castles with that would be cool, or you can give them a plastic sack to play in. Socks filled with newspaper, old glass jars to sleep in, you can make a maze out of those cardboard boxes that the 20 cambell's soup cans come in and cover it with plastic wrap so they can't jump out or anything are all fun for rodents. I would always do that sort of stuff for mine and they loved it!! Good luck!!

Wood blocks will keep their teeth nice and short and gerbils LOVE cardboard boxes and tubes to chew on. They like wooden logs that you can get for them in pet stores. Don't give them plastic things as they are enthusiastic chewers and will probably swallow the plastic and die.

Really anything that pet stores sell that say Hamster/Gerbil on them. Just make sure it's big enough for your gerbil.
