Paper and cardboard that you have at home is good as well as fruit tree branches like apple tree branches. You can also but chew toilets from shops. These are usually made of wood or rope and there are best to keep gerbils teeth short.
You can give them different chew toys for them to chew on and it should keep the teeth at a decent length.

Even if you have chew toys, they can be picky so you mayhave to try lots of toys. Store bought apple branches work well for my mice. Your gerbil may like them too! You can buy them in most Pet Smarts. :)

You can buy shop chew toys made out of wood usually or you can use things around the house like paper (not newspaper) loo roll tubes and toilet paper. You can also use branches of wood like fruit tree branches but nothing with thrones. Make sure there is always something to chew on because gerbils can totally chew up a loo roll within hours.
