Just about any cage is fine for a hedgehog.
However, a hedgehog should NEVER be housed in a cage that has multiple levels that are not blocked off (made to were they cannot fall from the top level to the bottom, as it could easily break their legs!), one without a solid bottom (so that they do not break their legs), and one that that has a top so that they cannot climb out and fall. If you choose one with slick sides, the sides need to be at least 12" high. Cages that are made for guinea pigs or rabbits usually do well.
It should have a floor space of at least 24"x24", and have good circulation. Never place your cage in direct sunlight.
