A cottontail is a type of hare, and hares need to remain lean to flee from fast predators. So they don't eat much. During dawn or dusk, when it is a little bit safer, it feeds on grass, dandelions, occasional berries, weeds, clovers, and any edible plant material without toxins.
Rabbits need a shelter that provides protection from predators, extreme weather conditions, and allows them to feel secure. A suitable shelter for rabbits would include a hutch or a large enclosed area that is well-ventilated, dry, and insulated. It should also have a cozy area for them to rest and hide.

The New England Cottontail is the only type of rabbit native to Connecticut. They were first introduced to New England in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Because of their close resemblance to the European Cottontail, it is possible that they may have been brought over by European immigrants and meant to be raised as food.
Piranhas need a shelter where there is alot of water such as river and need a shelter where there is not as much large fish like the spearfish, shark etc. They also need a shelter where they can mate and reproduce so their species wont be extinct
