How come the rock and hbk never wrestled each other?
We all know HBK was an ass back in the day. Well the Rock and HBK had some differences before the Rock was ever in the WWE. It started when the Rock was just a teenager at a show his maternal grandmother (Leah Maivia) was promoting for the Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling federation. The Rock felt as if HBK had been disrespectful towards his grandmother and almost caused an altercation. Once the Rock made it into the WWE, HBK and HHH had tried to convince Bret Hart and others to be against the Rock. HHH and HBK were known to be somewhat of butt hole'sbackstage, and they felt like the Rock was a threat to HHH's career. During the Rock's great rise to fame, HBK had suffered a back injury and that is another reason why the two have never matched up in the ring. HBK knows the seriousness of his injury and once he returned, he came back as the commissioners and guest referee in HHH and Rock's title match. The Rock was asked in a 2005 interview on WWE.com if he would have liked to work with HBK. His response was; "I never had an interest in working with Michael's"
