Why would it be important to judge a horse's feet rather than the body?

Now, if you mean the "One white foot, buy 'em, two white feet, try 'em, three white feet be on the sly, four white feet pass 'em by" then that is not a good way to pick a horse. If you mean whether the horse has good, sound feet, An old, wise saying goes "No foot, no horse." This is perhaps the wisest thing ever said. If a horse is lame, he can't do anything but virtually eat every last dime of yours. You want a horse with good hooves, and good conformation. So, you asked "Why would it be important to judge a horse's feet rather than the body?" It is important to judge the feet, but it's just as important to judge the rest of the body also. If the horse has poor conformation, he is more open to injuring himself, so the rest of the body is just as important as the feet.
