The decomposition of a buried cat can be accelerated by several factors: increasing soil moisture levels can enhance microbial activity, while higher temperatures typically promote faster decomposition. Additionally, the presence of scavengers and insects can aid in breaking down the body more quickly. Lastly, if the burial site has good aeration, oxygen can facilitate aerobic decomposition processes, further speeding up the breakdown of organic matter.
You could say that, if you consider eating dead animals to be speeding up decomposition.

Fossil fuels are the remains of decomposition of buried dead organisms under pressure. The common fossil fuels are oil , gas and coal.
To know that we have to know where he will be buried and so on so that can not be answered until he is dead...and buried.

A dead body may begin to smell within a few hours after death due to the release of gases during the decomposition process. Factors such as temperature, humidity, and presence of insects can affect the speed of decomposition and onset of odor.
Frequent turning of the pile and keeping them moistened but not wet. Rotatable compost bins speed the decomposition of dead leaves.
The dead bodies of those who died on the First Fleet were usually buried at sea. This was a common practice on long sea voyages to prevent the spread of disease and decomposition onboard.

Decomposition.
decomposition
I would say decomposition. It simply refers to the breaking down of substances into simpler forms with the use of oxygen. All dead matter experience this. (bacteria breaking dead matters into nutrients for plants). Even burning of wood is decomposition. So, in my opinion, decomposition would be it. I have no proof to back it up though, it may not be right.
