Baby guinea pigs can be taken away when they are any younger then 4 weeks old. The topic is debatable but after 4 weeks should be fine. Especially if it is eating and drinking on it's own.
With my guinea pigs, I waited until they stopped drinks their mothers milk completely and started eating and drinking regular food
They should be at least 2 months old. They should be drinking water and eating solid food before you can take them away from their mother.
