Newborn kittens will generally start to move around in the first few hours. Their eyes will not have opened yet, however, and their mother will be guarding them closely, so they won't get more than a few inches away from her. If a kitten doesn't appear to be moving within these few hours there is a good chance it was stillborn. Don't try to intervene if this appears to be the case. The mother will know what to do. Often she will eat the kitten; this is perfectly natural, don't try to stop her. Within four to ten days (normally about the time they have developed a coat of fur), most kittens are able to stand properly and stagger short distances. Up until the age of around four to six months, they will appear drunk when walking; this is quite normal, and is because their hearing, sight and balance are not yet fully developed. (It can also be quite amusing to watch!)
No, many people do it.
A kitten walking sideways could be a sign of an inner ear infection or a neurological issue. It's important to take your kitten to a veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
When baby kittens are very tiny they can't walk that well and will wobble and flop all over the place. If the kitten is 2 weeks or more old they should be able to walk fairly well. It could be birth defect or something else is wrong and the kitten should be examined by your vet. NOW!
take it to the doctor
If the kitten has a mother the mother will help the kitten naturally, if not you might have to take a warm cloth and wipe the kitten's bum. That's how mother cats get them to go, the lick their bums
I'm not exactly sure but i think they usually start walking between 3 to 10 days.
Of course they do! how would they walk if they didnt?? You probably just cant see it when they are kittens because they are so tiny.
no a deer is a deer and a kitten is a kitten.
Cat = kat, or if it is a female one: Poes Kitten = kitten
There is no kitten fairy. - Ari
A kitten is a baby cat.
Yes the kitten will die as it needs mother's milk or formula from the vet and will have to be bottle fed by the owner. It's not uncommon for other female cats or dogs who have had a litter to nurse a new born kitten. If this isn't possible please take your kitten into the vets for a good checkup and formula. You will have to feed the kitten often during the day and night and if you aren't able to do this or take on the responsibility then let the vet know this and either they will or find a foster home where the foster care worker will do it.
