The end of the glacier where melting occurs.
A glacier snout is the terminus or end point of a glacier where ice and meltwater are released. It is where the glacier meets lower elevations and warmer temperatures, causing melting and ice loss. The snout can vary in shape and size depending on the glacier's dynamics.

A geological snout is an erosional feature found at the downstream end of a glacier where the glacier ends abruptly, leaving a steep front or cliff-like edge. It often forms as the glacier melts and retreats, leaving behind a distinct landform.

Most diodes have a band (or marking), at one end. The band end is considered the positive end. You can also consider the "band" as a symbol of a gate or blockage. Power flowing from the non-band end to the band end will flow, but power flowing from the band end backwards will not. (That's my method that works for me).
