They are best socialized if they wait til 8 weeks. They can safely leave and be weaned at 6 weeks. I prefer to wait until they are 8 weeks so there is little separation anxiety for the pups. Also, I dont like them to leave all at once as for our mums it has always been too hard. They like one or two left to make it more gradual.

You could have puppies with birth defects when the parents mate with the puppies. If you plan on keeping them all together, you should neuter the puppies. The mum and dad will be interested in each other the next time the mum goes into heat.
Well sorry, but it sounds like you have already proven that you cannot be responsible enough to have a pet. By the way....whatever happened to the Golden Retriever? Did your parents "get rid" of it? If so then your family should NEVER AGAIN have ANY dog.

Second, puppies need a lot of attention. Third,you need to show "mum" that you are responsible enough for a puppy. Lastly, you might accidentaly step on it.

It is best not take puppies away from their mother at too young an age, the longer they can stay with her, the better. The earliest recommended age at which puppies may be removed from their mother is 8 weeks, definitely no earlier than that, but 12 weeks is even better.
