No, there is no special soap for giving a gerbil a bath.
Gerbils do not require dust baths like Chinchillas. If you are able to get a gerbil to try it then use a dust bath formula from a pet store. In my experience they don't like baths.
gerbils take baths in sand.
try to wash it out
some gerbils would rather use it as a toilet make it possible for the gerbil to exit the sand
yes, but they are sponge baths. They don't go into a bathtub, but they are bathed by simply soap and a sponge.
Sorry, soap and shampoo are made for baths and showers. Not hot tubs. You should take a shower before entering a hot and be sure to rinse well as to not bring in any soapy residue.
you cant tell if just one hamster takes dust baths. most types of hamsters do take dust baths, try it out.
yes they take sand baths. you can put a 1inch tray fill it with chinchilla bathing sand and they may roll over in it or not, if they do then they need to take a bath 1-2 times a month.
Sometimes that can be from thesoapyour using if your using soap. Like the soap could be to dry on the skin

No, don't use crittertrail cages with gerbils. Unlike hamsters, gerbils are chewing machines. They can ingest the plastic which can kill them, and by chewing the plastic they can escape. I would use a 10 gallon tank instead. Gerbils cost around $10 each from a pet shop.
I believe that gerbils are best at smell, and maybe hearing. Gerbils use smell to tell each other apart and what things are, as their eyesight is not so good.
