A snow blower from a John Deere 180 may not fit a LX 176 due to differences in the mounting systems and design specifications of the two models. While both are part of John Deere's line of lawn and garden equipment, compatibility can vary. It's best to consult the specific service manuals or a John Deere dealer for confirmation on compatibility before attempting to use the snow blower on the LX 176.

They did. It hasn't been made in years. Femco was the manufacturer.
The John Deere 37A Snow Blower is designed to fit specific John Deere lawn tractors, but it is not compatible with the LX178 model. The LX178 typically requires attachments that are specifically designed for its series. For optimal performance and compatibility, it's best to check the owner's manual or consult a John Deere dealer for compatible snow blower options for your tractor.
You cannot download it (as far as I know) but you can purchase the manual (SM 2038) from John Deere ($150) or the CD ($75). Call 800-522-7448 I would recommend the CD (PDF) as you can zoom and print what you want. Good Luck!
Had same problem with my John Deere 335. It was because there was dirt in gas tank and fuel filter was half clogged. Need to replace fuel filter.
Just bought a belt for my LX 186 and had them copy the service manual page for the belt and related pulleys and parts. It shows the root very clearly.
To disengage a stuck parking brake on a John Deere LX 176, first ensure that the tractor is on a level surface and the engine is off. Check for any obstructions or debris around the brake linkage that might be causing it to stick. If necessary, gently pull the parking brake lever while simultaneously pressing the brake pedal to relieve tension. If the brake remains stuck, you may need to inspect the brake components for wear or damage.
Try replacing the spark plugs, to narrow down which cylinder is not working just remove plug wires one at a timeand see which one makes no difference.
Take the tire size into your local tire shop and they can get the tire and mount it for you. You can also go to a retail store, like Wal-mart and purchase the tire there. They should be able to get the size if it isn't in stock.
