Horses are fight or flight animals. When faced with a potentially dangerous situation, the horses first instinct is to get away, and fast. When you fall off, although it often can't be helped, the horse will often feel that they have to remove themselves from the situation, as an attempt to preserve their life. In the wild, if they don't leave, they will most often die. It all comes down to your relationship with your horse, and it's personality, although even the quietest horses will run away if scared enough. It's basic instinct, and the only way to reduce the chances of your horse leaving when you fall off it to create a bond with him, by spending time with him in the paddock, and understanding him.
Yes. Before the his battle during the Mexican War, he fell off his horse was wrenched his knee severely. The next day, during the battle his horse bucked and threw against the pommel in such a way that it twisted his sore knee causing pain so intense that he blacked out.
Did who fall on the train track?
Because if you start to mount and you leg is halfway over the horse and he starts to walk away, you could fall off. And if you fall off you might break your leg. :(
From a horse fall
if you take you horse swimming NEVER waer boots as if you fall off they make you sink! also try and ride bareback so ur saddle doesnt get reked and if u fall off u have nothing to get caught on. but if you fall off the best option is to stay away from there hooves and try and ge back on so u dont panick the horse or some horses try and stand ontop of u so they dont have to swim in that case if u fall off swim away from the horse and he will follow u then jump up the bank and he should too....so u both get out safetly
A fall. Sudden dismount?
Normaly, horse riders/racers will fall off the horse. Someties it can cause bad injuries. Ride carefuly!
If the horse is sedated, the vet will help you lay him down, as this can be dangerous. A sedated horse will not stay on his feet, although a tranquilized horse might. A firm grip on the lead rope is necessary to pull the horse's neck straight out, then ease the horse onto his haunches and then his side. If you're laying a horse down to train him, you will also need a surcingle and another lead rope. Run a lead rope thru a surcingle loop so the horse's neck is turned away from you, while using the second lead rope to pick up the front foot nearest you. This can be very dangerous, and should only done by a trained professional. If you want to train your horse to lay down on command, this takes time and patience, but most horses can learn it eventually. Try the website below. Well if you want the horse to sleep sedated it it will fall asleep and lay down or it will fall asleep stood up! if you want to teach your horse to lay down so you can get on/off then check out this website http://iceryder.net/laydown.html it has everything you need to know about natural horsemanship!
