"The Giver" seems to take place in the past in the book because the society depicted in the story is designed to minimize emotions, memories, and individuality. This gives it a simplistic and controlled feel, reminiscent of a time when societies were more regimented and conformist. Additionally, the lack of modern technology and advancements portrayed in the story also contribute to the impression of being set in the past.
there could be. it will just be the only one in the series that is not based on a novel by JK Rowling. That doesn't seem likely. The story basically ends with book 7 (the Deathly Hallows).
The book "Found" by Margaret Peterson Haddix takes place in a small town called Stonetown. The story revolves around mysterious disappearances and the discovery of foundlings with strange abilities that seem connected to time travel.
No; one can clearly tell it is fiction by the influence of magical realism throughout the story. This means that the author cleverly mixed reality that we can relate to with fantastic events. They are blended in order that the magical events do not seem as out of place and that they in fact seem believable.
No not in particular. It isn't a simple 100 pages but it isn't what u would call long. The story captures you and the pass seem to float by.
beginning of 21st century, really. I think the author meant the each book to seem like the the story happened that year.
Sisters Grimm book 8 will be called "The Inside Story". I got it from Michael Buckley's website. Although, a lot of people seem to say it's called "Lost in a Good Book"....
