Where do black bears live in?

Wherever there are forests, swamps, and mountains, the black bear may be found. Usually wilderness areas. Our most common bear.

The omnivorous American Black bear (Ursus americanus) currently (2011) lives in sparsely settled forested areas, but sometimes becomes drawn to human communities in search of the 'easy meal'. This North American native ranges from Mexico, through The United States and into Canada. Some of the habitats they live in are: swampy (marshland) areas, deciduous forests, high altitude mountain parklands and the eastern woodlands as far as Hudson Bay. As North America's most common bear, their status with the IUCN is listed as "Least Concern".
