Asian Leopard Cats live alone and are nocturnal in behavior. They prefer brush and forest as their habitat. They make their dens in hollow trees, small caves or under large roots and, living in a wide variety of environments and have an unusually wide variety of skills. For example, they often live near water and are great swimmers and fishers. They are very agile climbers - very much at home in the trees, hunting for birds, squirrels, tree shrews and other prey. Indeed there are some reports of tropical Leopard Cats being totally tree dwelling in their nature.

A white panther is a white specimen of any of several species of larger cat. "Panther" is used erroneously in some parts of North America to mean the Cougar (Puma concolor), in South America to mean the Jaguar (Panthera onca) and elsewhere it refers to the Leopard (Panthera pardus). A white panther may therefore be a white jaguar or a white leopard. Of these, white leopards appear to be the most common, although still very rare.
