Deere does not publish their manuals publicly, you will need to purchase one at your local dealer. They normally cost about 12 dollars for the owners manual and 50-100 dollars for a service manual. You may find a used one on eBay, do a search on Google; "John Deere L110 owners manual" Kevin
Many a tank was replaced under warranty. We used to remove the two bolts beneath the seat and lift the operator deck enough(and block it up with a piece of 2x4) having removed the fuel cap. It should slide out to the rear and left.
You do not need to tension the mower belt because when you lift the yellow lever the belt is automatically tensioned. I had the same question about 3 days ago and when I turned the handle it got tighter. To ADD...the deck belt drive tension can be adjusted...where the cable comes to the deck from the drive 'ON' handle...it is in a bracket, take cotter pin out and on the inner part there will be a small black plastic piece attached to that side of the cable...pull cable gently out and up of the bracket...the bracket will have two 10mm bolts...loosen them (no need to remove) and you can adjust the tension... SO put the cable in and test by hand how tight the belt is...adjust the bracket to the position that works best for your mower...make sure you tighten the bracket down good then in reverse put the cable back in its place in the bracket...hope this helps and not confuse...also here is a youtube link...is for a l110 but works the same way! good luck!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5T-IDIZYuE
